司馬庫斯生態之旅

Smangus 司馬庫斯, a remote 泰雅族部落 locate at Hsin-chu county 尖石鄉.  The road condition to Smagus has been improved (it takes about 4 hours drive from Taipei) and more and more visitors come to visit this remote tribe in last couple years.  There are only 170 people or 27 families live over there, one primary school with 15 students and 2 teachers.  I met one little girl at the school, she is only 10 years old at grade 3; when she told me that she cannot walk I was so shocked … That night was so cold only 3 degrees on the mountain and next day we went to look the famous giant trees which about 3,500 years old.  It takes 5 to 6 hours back and fourth from the tribe to the giant trees.  I took some pictures and hope you like it.
