On 2009 December 17 and 18, I attended the National Commerce Development Conference 全國商業發展會議， a lot of 產官學 attended this important meetings.

During the meeting, I stand up and raise my viewpoint twice in the meeting, two photos from the reporter is attached below to share with you as well.

提案一、台灣少子化、人口老化，人口將逐年遞減，2060年台灣人口減半對經濟商業活動影響巨大。

The first comments I made is about the population issue in Taiwan, Taiwan’s population will be start to decline by year 2020, because of population aging and low birth rate (the lowest in the world), around 50 years from now, Taiwan’s population will be reduced from 23 millions nowadays to half 12 million people only. The implication in economic and commerce development is crucial to our future, if nothing is plan ahead by the government authorities, our commercial activities will be cut in half, house sales will be reduced, car sales will be reduced, we do not need so many restaurants because do not have sufficient people to consume, and all people related business will cut in half as well.

提案二、金融海嘯後，美元逐年貶值，人民幣逐年升值；建議政府開放人民幣存款銀行戶頭，以利政府與個人財富管理。只要美元貶值10%，我們的外匯存底將貶值300億美元或 9,600億台幣財富的流失。

The second comments I highlighted in the meeting is about the PRC RMB dollar, after 2009 global financial crisis, US dollars will be gradually depreciating, and China RMB yen will be appreciating in the future, this trend will continue in the next decades. For example, Taiwan now owned US$300 billion on hand (the 4^th largest foreign reserve country in the world), however, if US$ depreciated by 10%, our foreign reserve US$30 billion value will be disappear, it’s a huge amount (NT$32 x US$30 billions = N$960 billions). Therefore, in the conference I urge government to let Taiwan all the company and individual to have RMB bank account, same as we are able to keep US$, Euro dollar bank account for foreign currency management.

「ECFA對服務業發展之影響」公聽會

東協與中國大陸、韓、日洽簽FTA已陸續生效實施，東協又與紐澳、印度分別於2009年洽簽FTA，反觀我國只與中美洲5國洽簽4個FTA，僅佔我全球出口總額的0.187％，但美、歐洲與東亞占我出口總額達88.7％的國家卻無法洽簽FTA，台商已處於不利的競爭地位，倘若台灣長期被排除在FTA之外，國家發展將在區域經濟整合體系中被迫「邊緣化」。為使大眾明瞭簽署ECFA對國家的重要性和急迫性，國貿局特別邀專家學者共同舉辦公聽會，期望藉由溝通更加凝聚國人共識，以推動國家朝向光明遠景邁進。
